Veggie Box

I came home to the most beautiful box of locally grown vegetables today!

Aren't they just amazing?

The beets are larger than my fists!

Radishes, Parsley, Red and Green Chard, Beets, Fennel Bulbs, Asparagus, Potatoes, Apples, Green Leaf Lettuce, Grapefruits and Red Onions.

So today, feeling inspired, I decided to go thrifting just outside of the city.

I found these two great records (which I purchased purely because I enjoyed the colors).
I'm going to match a bit of paint to the albums' acid yellow tone and modify a large mirror which will be the focal point of the living room (like the gold mirror below).

It will be exciting, too, to see if a light grey/blue can be incorporated into the color scheme. The stained glass window in the living room is largely shades of blue so my hope is that pillows and other small accents will transition the window from interesting feature, to design element.

Apartment Facelift

Ok, so a few things I've been feeling compelled to address in my apartment.

1) Headboard for the bedroom (or alternative headboard-like solution)

2) Living Room Setup- It is a challenging space and, as of right now, I'm terribly bored with the way I've arranged it

3) Color + DIY Projects- I'm thinking about mixing it up with my accent colors through a series of DIY projects. Re-upholstered seat cushions, new pillowcases for the living room, some enormous and extravagant pillows for the bedroom. Also, hoping to find some mirrors with wood/paintable frames in interesting shapes. I'm thinking that a small wall of mirrors in the living room may lend a larger sensibility to the space.

Here are some images that caught my eye as I started to brainstorm.

I'm loving lemon yellow right now.
